Join us on selected dates this Autumn to explore the 900-year-old Norman keep and the picturesque surrounding grounds.
Tickets include entry to the gardens and Castle. The Keep tearooms will be open serving light refreshments. Picnics are welcome. Please keep dogs on leads throughout your time on the estate. Dogs are not permitted inside the Castle.
Grounds open 11am-4pm on all dates below.

13th October: Author Talk with Rebecca Batley, 12pm
Join us for a fascinating talk with Rebecca Batley, author of ‘Anne Neville: Queen and Wife of Richard III’. Anne had links with the ancestors of Hedingham Castle, the de Veres, and this talk will discuss her true story. Entry to the talk is free for ticket holders visiting with general castle and garden admission tickets on 13th October. Tickets must be pre-booked.
20th October: Halloween Creative Writing Workshop with Lisa Wakely
Calling all young writers aged 8-14! Join us in the castle for a Halloween-themed creative writing workshop. Led by Lisa Wakely, author of ‘Hexed’, this workshop will help you bring your scariest characters and creepiest settings to life. Through eerie music and spine-chilling prompts, you'll explore the art of crafting suspenseful horror stories. Don't miss this chance to sharpen your writing skills and let your imagination run wild—if you dare! Spooky costumes encouraged but optional. This workshop is free for ticket holders visiting with general castle and garden admission tickets on 20th October. Please book your place in advance - sessions will be held at 11.30am and 2pm.
